Mesa & Phoenix metro · Repair help
Hot tub not heating? Start with the symptoms.
A cold hot tub does not automatically need a new heater. Water circulation, temperature settings, sensors and controls can also affect heating. Ocean Spas offers diagnosis and repair from Mesa across the Phoenix metro; contact us to confirm service for your address and spa model.
What to note before contacting us
- Actual water temperature, selected temperature and how long the spa has been heating.
- The exact display message, including any FLO, DRY or other code.
- Whether the jets and circulation appear normal.
- Whether the problem started after a refill, filter change or power interruption.
Use your model’s owner manual for normal settings and routine filter care. A code can mean different things on different control systems; it is a clue for diagnosis, not proof that a particular part has failed.
When to stop using the spa
Stop using the spa if it repeatedly trips a breaker, smells burnt, overheats or leaks near electrical equipment. Do not open electrical controls, bypass a sensor or repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Arrange a professional inspection. Do not run a spa with insufficient water.
What happens during a heating diagnosis
Tell us the brand, model, city and symptoms when requesting a visit. The technician can assess the equipment and explain whether the issue involves heating, flow or controls. Parts selection and any replacement depend on the findings. A visit request does not confirm an appointment or guarantee a same-visit repair.
Heating repair costs
The standard 30-minute diagnosis and repair visit is $100; parts are extra. For one heater, pump or control board replacement completed during the same visit, the total visit and replacement labor is $150, including the $100 visit fee. Parts are extra. Other work, multiple replacements and return visits require a quote.
